Welcome

At Asheville Waldorf School, community is at the heart of all we do. We believe that education extends far beyond the classroom— it is nurtured through relationships, shared experiences, and meaningful participation. Our community of parents, teachers, and friends work together to create an environment where children and families can grow, learn, and thrive in connection with one another.

Throughout the year, our school celebrates seasonal festivals, community gatherings, parent education events, and volunteer opportunities that strengthen our bonds and reflect the living spirit of Waldorf education. Whether you’re lending a hand at a festival, joining a class parent group, or simply sharing a meal at a school potluck, your presence helps sustain the vibrant rhythm of our community life.

Parent Organization

Asheville Waldorf School Neighbors And Parents (AWSNAP) is here for you.

All currently enrolled parents and guardians are members of AWSNAP! Parent participation in volunteer activities is welcomed and vital to a flourishing Waldorf school community.

AWSNAP representatives serve as a friendly point of contact for parents—fielding questions, connecting families with helpful resources, and fostering communication throughout the school. They help coordinate many of our beloved annual events, including the much-lauded Community Chili Cook-Off.

In addition to event coordination, AWSNAP representatives also serve on the Board of Directors, giving voice to parent perspectives, needs, and ideas. Together, AWSNAP helps ensure that our school community continues to thrive through connection, collaboration, and care.
