aws board of directors
Our Board of Directors provides leadership in promoting, supporting, and carrying out the long-term vision and mission of Asheville Waldorf School while working collaboratively with the faculty, administration, and parent community. The Board serves as the guardian and protector of the school, with its primary responsibility being the oversight of the school’s financial stability and legal obligations.
Comprised of teachers, parents, and members of the Asheville community, the Board of Directors is a dedicated group of leaders committed to Waldorf education and the continued growth of Asheville Waldorf School. The Board focuses on governance and strategic decision-making that enables the school to thrive. While not involved in daily operations or curriculum—matters entrusted to the faculty—the Board plays an active role in annual and capital fundraising efforts.
The Board oversees several key committees, including the Development Committee, Business Committee, Site Committee, and Fundraising Committee.
Meetings are held monthly on the first Monday and are open to the public. To contact the Board, please email board@ashevillewaldorf.org.
