Tuition Assistance

Choosing an independent Waldorf education is a meaningful investment in your child’s future. We understand that tuition can be a stretch for some families, and we are committed to making an Asheville Waldorf School education accessible through a combination of North Carolina state programs and Asheville Waldorf School financial aid.

BENEFITS FROM THE STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA

Many Asheville Waldorf School families receive tuition assistance through programs offered by the State of North Carolina. These programs provide funding that can be applied directly toward tuition at participating independent schools.

​➢ NC Opportunity Scholarship

The Opportunity Scholarship program provides tuition support for families choosing a private education in North Carolina. Eligibility requirements and award amounts are determined by the state.

Families apply directly through the North Carolina State Education Assistance Authority (NCSEAA).

​➢ ESA+ (Education Student Accounts)

ESA+ provides financial support for students with qualifying disabilities who require specialized educational services. Funding may be used toward tuition and approved educational supports.

Applications are submitted through the North Carolina State Education Assistance Authority (NCSEAA).

ASHEVILLE WALDORF SCHOOL FINANCIAL AID

In addition to state programs, Asheville Waldorf School offers need-based financial aid to help make Waldorf education accessible to families. Financial aid is available to qualifying families with students enrolled in full-time (five-day) programs. Applications are completed through Clarity, a third-party financial aid platform that allows families to securely submit financial information for review.

Applying for Financial Aid

Families interested in applying for financial aid should:

  1. Submit the Clarity Financial Aid Application

  2. Apply for or renew the North Carolina Opportunity Scholarship

  3. Complete any additional documentation requested by the school

Returning families are asked to apply during the school’s financial aid application period.
New families may complete the financial aid application after acceptance.
