Todd Crowe earned his B.A. in Childhood Education from the University of Hawaii before completing his Waldorf Teacher Training in Eugene, Oregon. He has dedicated his career to sharing the beauty, truth, and goodness at the heart of Waldorf education. Prior to moving to Asheville, Todd taught at the Waldorf School of Pittsburgh.

 

Todd was part of the original initiative group that helped bring Asheville Waldorf School into being and is a proud founding member of the school. Over the years, he has taught several grades at AWS and has been a meaningful part of the school community both in and beyond the classroom. Most recently, Todd spent a year teaching at a Waldorf school in Costa Rica before returning to Asheville with his family.

 

Todd has a deep appreciation for the developmental approach at the heart of Waldorf education and enjoys guiding students through a rich curriculum that weaves together academics, art, movement, storytelling, and hands-on experiences. His love for Asheville Waldorf School and dedication to its students and families have been part of our community since its earliest days.

 

Outside the classroom, Todd enjoys playing the ukulele, contra dancing, hiking, reading, and surfing. He lives in Asheville with his wife, Heidi, and their two daughters.
