About the event

Windows on Waldorf is a welcoming, hands-on open house designed for parents who want to learn more about Waldorf education and experience it firsthand.

During this free, half-day event, families will step inside the rhythms of Asheville Waldorf School through interactive workshops that reflect our developmentally appropriate, whole-child approach—educating the head, heart, and hands. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in experiential sessions led by faculty and learn how Waldorf education supports children’s academic growth, creativity, movement, and emotional well-being from early childhood through middle school.

Workshops include an introduction to Waldorf education, windows into early childhood, lower grades and middle school programs, an exploration of eurythmy and movement, and hands-on crafting as a pathway to learning. The morning will conclude with a Waldorf alumni panel, offering personal perspectives on the long-term impact of a Waldorf education.

Whether you are a current family, prospective family, or interested in learning more about Waldorf education, Windows on Waldorf offers a meaningful opportunity to connect with our teachers, parents, and community—and to see what makes Asheville Waldorf School unique.
