Sarah Scott
Sarah Scott brings a lifelong connection to Waldorf education and a deep love of craft to her role as Handwork Teacher. A graduate of the Susquehanna Waldorf School, where she attended from preschool through eighth grade, Sarah credits her early Waldorf experience with instilling in her a lasting love of learning and creativity. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Outdoor Education and Leadership, with a minor in Elementary and High School Education, at Warren Wilson College.
Her teaching journey has unfolded in both traditional classrooms and outdoor settings, deepening her appreciation for experiential, hands-on learning. Throughout her life, Sarah has grounded herself in handwork—especially knitting, sewing, and crochet—and she finds great joy in helping children recognize both the beauty of their own efforts and the beauty of the world around them.
Now in her third year with the Asheville Waldorf School community, Sarah continues to be inspired by the meaningful work of guiding young hands and hearts.
