About the event
AWS’s Spring Bloom Gala is a chance for our community to come together, enjoy a great evening, and support the future of our school.
This event begins at 4:00pm, with contra dancing at 5:00pm—open to everyone, no experience needed. Dinner will be served at 6:00pm, catered by Treska’s, with a fully gluten-free menu and vegan and vegetarian options available. After dinner, we’ll enjoy live music by Old Sap, dessert, and time to connect. A cash bar will be available throughout the evening.
The silent auction is a key part of the night, featuring a thoughtfully curated mix of offerings from local artists and businesses. Guests can bid on items like original artwork by Hudson Georges, Amy Steinberg, and Skye Smith, an Asheville Art Museum family membership, experiences with Asheville Jeep Tours and Asheville Tourists, a staycation with Peri Social House, and offerings from beloved local spots like Louise’s Kitchen, Round Earth Roasters, Dripolator Coffeehouse, Asheville Raven and Crone, Dancing Bear Toys, Wooden Spoon Herbs, and Reems Creek Nursery. The collection also includes massage and craniosacral treatments, salon appointments, wellness offerings, and a yoga membership with Asheville Hot Yoga—something for everyone to enjoy while supporting the school.
As our largest fundraiser of the year, Spring Bloom helps support many aspects of the school, including financial aid, faculty, and core programs.
A heartfelt thank you to Pat, Kerry, and the entire team at Treska’s for so generously hosting us and for creating such beautiful and delicious desserts. Your care, hospitality, and attention to detail help make this evening so special for our community. We are deeply grateful for your support of Asheville Waldorf School.
A special thank you to Colleen Gardner, Judy McKay and Patricia Alton for their generous sponsorship of Spring Bloom. Your support of our school and our children helps make this evening—and all that it makes possible—so meaningful. We are deeply grateful.
We hope you’ll join us for a relaxed, fun, and meaningful evening together.
