Reneé brings a unique blend of strength, beauty, and nurturing warmth to her work with children and families, deeply influenced by her upbringing in the Colorado mountains. With more than 25 years of experience in Early Childhood Education, she has supported children and families in a variety of roles throughout her career.

 

Reneé discovered Waldorf education after moving to Sarasota, Florida, in 2006, where she immersed herself in Rudolf Steiner study groups and learned alongside experienced Waldorf educators. This growing passion led to more than a decade of teaching Parent-Child programs at two Waldorf schools. For the past five years, Reneé has been a beloved Parent-Child teacher at Asheville Waldorf School.

 

She completed her foundational Early Childhood Education training at Red Rocks Community College in Golden, Colorado, and earned her Waldorf Early Childhood Education Certification from Sophia’s Hearth in Keene, New Hampshire, in 2014.

 

Reneé is deeply committed to protecting the sanctity of childhood and supporting children as they grow physically, socially, and emotionally. She especially loves accompanying parents on their own journeys and witnessing the beautiful unfolding that happens for both parent and child. Through songs, finger games, lap games, and moments of genuine connection, she creates opportunities for families to slow down, be present, and delight in one another.

 

Outside of school, Reneé loves spending time around a campfire with her beloved, Brian, and their daughter, who attends Asheville Waldorf School. Together, they enjoy singing, dancing, live music, learning, traveling, laughing, and discovering new ways to create joy together.
